How it works
Ten minutes to set up. One tap per order after that.
No installation, no hardware, no technician visit. You open a browser, answer a few questions about your shop, and you have a booking page you can share the same afternoon.
The six steps
Tell WildDrop about your shop
Shop name, location, and hours. Which species you take — deer, bear, elk, hog, turkey. Your services and cut options, written the way your shop actually words them. Your prices, if you want them shown.
Ten to fifteen minutes, and you only do it once. If you’d rather not, get on a phone call with us and we’ll fill it in with you while you talk.
Set your daily capacity
Tell it how many animals you can take on a given day. That’s the number the booking page honors. When a day fills, hunters can’t book it — they get put on a waitlist instead, and you get their name and number.
No more accepting deer on Tuesday that you find out Wednesday you have no room for.
Share your booking link
You get one link. Post it on your Facebook page, text it to regulars, put it on a sign at the counter, print it on your business card. It works on any phone.
Your hunters do not download an app. They do not create an account. They do not set a password.
Hunters book their own drop-off
A hunter opens the link, sees which days you have room, picks one, enters their name and phone number, and checks off the cuts they want. They get their confirmation code on the spot, and an email if they left one.
You see it appear on your order screen. Nobody had to answer a phone.
Move the order along as you work
Every order sits on one screen with its stage. When the animal comes in, you tap Received. When you start on it, Processing. When it’s bagged and in the cooler, Ready.
Each tap sends the hunter an email on its own. That is the entire daily workload of the tool.
Updates go out by email today. Text messaging is waiting on the carrier registration every business sending texts has to clear, and switches on for you automatically at no extra cost.
Hunter picks up, order closes
Mark it picked up and mark it paid — cash, check, or card. Cash-only shops just use the paid toggle; nothing forces you to take card payments.
At the end of the season you have a record of every animal that came through and every hunter’s contact information.
The order pipeline
Five stages. Nothing else to learn.
An order can only be in one of five places. That’s the whole system — it’s the whiteboard, except it emails the hunter for you.
- Stage 1
Booked
Hunter picked a date on your page. It's on your calendar.
- Stage 2
Received
The animal is in your cooler. Hunter gets an email confirming it.
- Stage 3
Processing
You're working on it. Hunter knows without calling.
- Stage 4
Ready
An email goes out: ready for pickup. This is the call you stop taking.
- Stage 5
Picked Up
Order closes out. It's in your season records.
What the hunter sees
A web page. That’s all.
- ✓Your shop name, hours, and what you handle
- ✓Which days you still have room
- ✓Your cut options as checkboxes
- ✓A confirmation code, like WD-A3X7K2
- ✓An email when their order changes status — no calling you
- ✓A waitlist spot if you’re full
What you see
Tomorrow’s work, on your phone.
- ✓Who’s coming in tomorrow, and how many
- ✓Every order and its stage, on one screen
- ✓Each hunter’s cut preferences in writing
- ✓How full each day is against your limit
- ✓Your waitlist, ready to call when space opens
- ✓Season totals when it’s all over
Practical questions
The things that actually matter
- What happens if the internet goes down?
- Your booking page stays online for hunters — it doesn’t run on anything in your shop. Your order screen works on your phone, the same as Facebook does. If your shop internet drops for a day, bookings still come in and you see them when you’re back on.
- Do I need a website first?
- No. Your WildDrop booking page is your website for processing. Share the link wherever you already talk to hunters — Facebook, texts, a sign on the door.
- Do my hunters have to sign up for anything?
- No. No app, no account, no password. They open a page, pick a date, and type their name and phone number.
- Can hunters still call or walk in?
- Of course. You can add a walk-in order yourself in a few seconds so it lands in the same system with the same status updates. The booking page is there to take the volume off your phone, not to lock anybody out.
- I only take cash. Does that matter?
- Not at all. Card payments through Stripe are optional. Cash-only shops mark an order paid with a toggle and carry on exactly as they do now.
- When should I set this up?
- Before season. August is ideal — you have time to get the page right and share the link with regulars before archery opens. The free trial is 30 days with no credit card, so setting up early costs you nothing.
